Andy Warhol on repetition.

I found this interest text written by William S. Wilson, 1968

What i found interesting about this is that he writes about how Warhol makes repetition a more then a process, it almost gives the 'Aura' to process, the uniqueness that Walter Benjamin speaks of in his essay, The work of at in the age of mechanical reproduction.

“The reason I’m painting this way is because I want to be a machine. Whatever I do, and do machine-like, is because it is what I want to do.” – Andy Warhol
